Purpose
The purpose of course maintenance is to ensure that our members and green fee guests have the best possible experience at Fanø Golf Links. The course maintenance team patrols the course and therefore has a better overview than individual players, allowing us to ensure a smoother flow of play. We can also ensure that there are no unauthorized players on the course and that everyone treats our course with care, so that it remains well-maintained for the benefit and enjoyment of all.
Baneservice's responsibilities
- To assist guests who have not played at Fanø Golf Links before.
- That the rules for scheduling appointments and confirmations are followed.
- To ensure the ball rolls smoothly across the field to avoid delays.
- To recommend that "slow" balls let "fast" balls through!
- That the players fix their divots.
- Players should leave the greens promptly after finishing a hole.
- To ensure that all players at the facility have paid.
In general
Course maintenance is carried out by the club’s own members, so please give them a warm welcome.
Course maintenance is performed at unannounced times.
The course maintenance buggy is marked “COURSE MAINTENANCE” or “COURSE INSPECTION,” and the inspector must always provide their full name.
Course Service is authorized to remove players from the course who have not paid for access to the course or who exhibit behavior that significantly violates the ethical rules of golf. Course Service must report any irregularities on the course to the club’s Board of Directors. The Board will decide on any sanctions against the person or persons who have violated the conditions specified in the report. The Board decides whether to report the matter to the DGU and/or to the home club of any guest players.
